Monsters in the MM3 (and other upcoming books)

Are their any official conversions of creatures from 1e/2e? I'd like to see offical conversions of the brownie and a few others left out of WOTC monster books.

Planar Handbook:
Neraphim
"several new planar character races"
"a number of new monsters lurking out there in the multiverse (and within the confines of Chapter Six) to antagonize or assist your favorite party of heroic adventurers"
We can now add to this:
Buomman
Mephlings (+1 LA)
Shadowswyfts (+1 LA)
Spikers (+0 LA)
Wildren

Astral Kraken
Dharculus
Elsewhale
Elysian Thrush
Gaspar

guess that fella needs to get in line for the Crypt. :D

i have always wondered what part, if any, the CC plays in WotC's monster selections...

With the art gallery out, we can get an even better overview. It seems we have all the new races, and a few old friends are there, too.
Aasimar
Bariaur
Tiefling
As well as a few monstrous characters (lillend and hound archon, certainly; not quite sure about the others).

Monsters:
Anarchic Template
Axiomatic Template
Energons (at least five variants)
Entropic Ogre Mage (likely entropic template)
Fire Gnome (perhaps fire template)
Frost Dwarf (perhaps frost template)
Limbo Stalker
Nightmare, Lesser
Pack Fiend
Pure Element (possibly)
Shadow Jelly
Swarm, Elementite
Unraveler
Ur'Epona
Vivacious Dire Tiger (Vivacious Template?)
Void Ooze

There are five energons in the Planar Handbook:

Positive Energy
Negative Energy
Astral
Temporal

and

Ethereal. :p

Acturally I am not that sure on the two last ones...

I heard someone suggesting that they are five new energons, each tied to it's own energy type (acid, cold, electricity, fire and sonic)

I'd be surprised. WotC changed the energons to elementals in the Update Booklet, so it would make sense to release the new stats, as that is quite a change.

You know, if they are based on the five energy types, there is nothing that says they will have to be elementals. Salamanders are not elementals, neither are Xorn, Arrowhawks, or Tojanidas, and let's not forget the Azer and the Genies either. They are all closely tied to an element without being elementals. :p

And besides, it is just a stupid rumor. :D
