Flind should be a prestige class. I was horrified to see them as a monster in 3E.

I wouldn't even bother making a prestige class for them. Take one gnoll, add a few monk levels, Improved Disarm, and a set of nunchaku, and you've got a flind.

Yeah, but for no reason other than "we can't give class levels to monsters so we have to create new monster races to have a standard monster with a different statblock".

Another late vote for the Aurumvorax - One of these can be either a really nice treasure, or a pretty amazing animal companion.

Buffing one of them up makes for some wild "Get it off me!" combat.
