Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved

Vampire is just now getting a revision. It's been 6 years since the last version was released.
Well, 4-5. Revised came out in 1999. But that's just me being pedantic.

Surely you aren't implying that WW revises their books too often. 6 years is very reasonable.
Well, Creature Collection got revised two years after it came out, and new editions of Warcraft and Everquest are on their way. WW seems to really like pimping splats, too.

Of course, 3.5 came out pretty soon, as well, and I own a lot of splats with Wzards' logo on them. :)

Really, I'm just being a jerk. My bad!

Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved is what I call the "Director's Cut" of Arcana Unearthed. It's 416 pages, and full color. We pulled out all the stops and got some of the best artists in the industry to lavishly illustrate it. It includes all the material from Arcana Unearthed, the Diamond Throne and even most of the Player's Guide from the screen.
You had me at "Hello".

No, it came out in '98 and it's been six years just as Sorren said.

Revised came out six years after 2nd, there was a very small gap between the first two versions however.

6 years is reasonable, but WW still has a bad rep from when they were launching WoD in the first place, and released 2nd eds about two years after the first eds - essentially, making the customers pay for playtesting.

I think that this is going to Rock. WotC is going to be releasing a "deluxe" PHB soon. As far as I know, they aren't adding any new material.

I am looking at Evolved as AU's deluxe version. All color, new material...yeah, I am going to buy.

Here's my question: Will the new material, aside from errata and clarifications, be released anywhere (in a short PDF release) aside from the new book? I like AU a lot, but I'm not playing it now and don't know if I'll be playing it in the future, so I can't really justify $50 for another hardback, even if it is all shiny and pretty. I do understand if it wouldn't be released (new and exclusive material's a selling point), but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Best,
Nick

Monte said on his boards that there will be a PDF version as well as print. I would imagine that the PDF version will be cheaper.
