Monthly Admins

I noticed Henry's title today. Is this something new now? Rotating the mod/admin duties on a monthly basis? Can he moderate a thread that was started this month and continued on until next? Can we apply for specific months to admin? Or is the assigned month random?

I think it might be an old joke. His tagline back when 3E was first announced (before my old site even had forums) was "C'mon August!"

I think "admin of the day" would be a great feature. Let a random person ban users, close threads, accidentally disable the boards, change the profanity filter. Excellent idea!

I'm going to take your question at face value, even though I've had the title for about two years now...

It's a dual play on words from my years on Eric Noah's and ENworld boards - I was always saying, "C'mon, August!" as my tagline for the arrival of 3E; "August" is also another word for "glorious," "resplendent," or as we Southerners say, "high-falootin' "

I always assumed that Henry had a bit of the egocentric with his title. I just never held that against him.
