While I prefer "Demon"

I always thought that ta- na- REE, (ta-na pronounced very quickly) sounded better (more exotic perhaps?) than Ta-NA-ree, so that's the way I pronounce it... , though I know the latter is correct according to TSR :D

Ok..let's "hear" the polearms... :D I'll start

Ransuer= rawn-SOO
bardiche=bar-DEE-chay
guisarme=GWEE-ahm

I tend to go with:

Ransuer= RAN-ser (short e)
bardiche= BAR-di-shay
guisarme= GWEE-sarm

-Tiberius

dabus: DAH-boo

LOL! I assumed at first that you were joking. In either case, in the book Uncaged: Faces of Sigil there is a Dabus Phrasebook section. One of the phrases is, 'Call me a "Daw-Boo" again and I'll kill you.'

paladin: PAL-uh-din

wyvern: why-vurn

chimera: kye-meer-uh

wyrm: wurm

lich: rhymes with itch

dabus: daw-bus

Kobold: ko-bald (ooh, Oxford dictionary says so too).

baatezu: bay-ah-teh-zoo

tanar'ri: tuh-NAW-ree

Rakshasa: rok-shaw-za

Tojanida: utter garbage

Aasimar: This one is tricky, I pronounce it so you can't be sure whether I'm saying az-zim-ar or aww-sim-ar.

Should I bring up Tieflings, or would that start a flame war? :)

Ranseur: RAN-soor - yup, it's French
Bardiche: BAR-deesh - thank the French again
Voulge: Voolj or Voolzh- Could it be French?
Bec de Corbin: BECK duh Cor-BAN (actually, it's that nasally sound, as in fin -- the "n" almost disappears) - as French as the beak of a crow can get
