Most Interesting Places on the Internet

First Post
I’ve always loved going out and exploring. I do it as often as I can. But sometimes, while I’m working or involved in a project or otherwise occupied I can’t do that, yet nevertheless want to do that.

In cases like that I sometimes explore the Internet, trying to find the most interesting or useful places I can find. But I have to admit, as far as the internet goes, there isn’t a lot that really interests me or that I find new, interesting, or fascinating. (Compared to how many sites actually exist.)

I’d like to go about exploring the Internet in the same way I go about Vadding, or exploring in real life. Most of the Internet though seems very boring to me, and very often needlessly redundant. (I’m not an on-line gamer nor do I regularly visit Virtual Worlds, I don’t have the time and would rather be doing other things anyway, stuff in the real world, but I am interested in interesting on-line sites. If I could find a few.)

But maybe I’m not looking in the right places. Maybe you guys and gals know of places I don’t. Maybe you even visit them regularly.

If so, let me know what they are and provide some addresses.

Before someone asks, and I suspect they will, these are some of my on-line, and real-life, interests. In no particular order.

Writing

Science - especially on-going and experimental projects in physics, chemistry, bio-chemistry, biology, medicine, and genetics

Art – mainly Renaissance and Ancient

History – especially like Ancient History, pre-history, the Medieval and Renaissance eras

Religion – I’d be glad to look at all kinds of religious sites just please don’t discuss religion or they’ll shut the thread down

Athletics

Mysteries

Detective Work/Law Enforcement

Military Affairs/Projects/Weapon systems

Literature

Technology

Exploration/Vadding

Unusual Discoveries/Projects/Experiments

Business/Finance/Investment

Those are my primary interests. But you don’t have to limit yourself to those interests at all. You can recommend any site you find interesting (and I like all kinds of things) and that you think others might find interesting, in any category.

Just give me something interesting to explore. Something that might make me think the internet is a worthwhile place to explore on occasion.

Thanks in advance.

By the way... these can be sites from anywhere in the world as far as I'm concerned. Long as I can get/find or you leave the addresses.
