For me it would be my Mum ("How do we play?" when I jokingly suggested; "Dice don't have that many sides!" when I told her about D20s)

My brother Benn, an absolute cynic

My friend Tenzin Choegyal from Tibet when he saw me character profiling him out of sheer boredom.

How about you?

edit: Oh yeah, that's sooo not a political comment. ;)

You say it, but we cordially disagree. Please stay far away from politics, even in jest!

My friend Heather the lawyer. When I mentioned D&D she thought it was neat... and wants me to run a game for her and her fiance when I return from GenCon.

Other than that, I've met plenty of former D&D players. I have no qualms about mentioning D&D to new acquaintances. You would be amazed how many people have actually played D&D.

I once had a pastor @ a local church ask if I would run a game of D&D for him and his youth group. I was like "whaaaaaaaat?! ehm....sure!".

There is an actor who I would not have thought had not only interest in D&D, but games with his friends whenever they find the time.

If you watch the Movie "Without a Paddle", and listen to the cast commentary, Actor Matthew Lillard actually admits to it. But the funniest thing is that of all people, Seth Green teases him for it.

If you get a chance, rent it, watch it, and listen, it is pretty funny stuff.

you obviously never seen SLC Punk then. Matthew Lillard starred in that before Without a Paddle. big time D&D references in it.
