Have you noticed how Prestige Classes love to ask for these useless feats ? Its like a price to paid for the prestige. Toughness and Endurance are very common requirements... its WOTC saying these arent useless feats. :D

Yep I was asking feats for their own merits... otherwise any useless feat can be great if it is the sole requirement for a super munchking PrC...

I put down Run. If mobility is an issue at all, it is a problem that can easily solved by modest magic.

Run would be a cool feat in a magic low campaign. It also is good for fleshing out NPCs. But PCs usually do too much fighting to spend a feat on a partial solution. BTW, I am not intended to criticize the feat here, but just observing that the magic level in most campaigns present cheap and effective alternatives.

Toughness is a very good feat for any character that wants to survive 1st level. It is also an obvious feat for tough guy NPCs that the DM does not want to spend much effort thinking about.

My last character had run and it came in pretty handy. He was a bit of a coward - but boy was he good at being a coward thanks to run. I suppose it was a bit of a "run away" type of campaign though...

I picked "other" for endurance because a situation in which it is useful doesn't seem to come up very often.

I can see heavy armor prof. being useful for a barbarian, although I haven't tried it. You lose the fast movement but d12 hit points plus massive AC plus damage resistance is pretty frightening. Although a bit more iffy, a ranger might even want to keep some spare heavy armor handy for situations where he doesn't need to sneak around (this would make him almost on par with a fighter when necessary) - virtual twf is of questionable value so it's loss is not a big deal. Maybe I'm wrong, just some thoughts.

I don't really see any feat as completely useless but some do need a little 'help' to make them worth while to use a precious feat slot for.

Notably Endurance, Run and Skill Focus. I've combined Run and Endurance into one feat (getting the bonuses of both) and Skill Focus to a +3 to any one skill (think this was errata'd though?).

Toughness I've always liked the way it is but the new toughness feats in MotW have too high a requirement to use (Base Fort) - I'm thinking of just making the lesser versions the prerequiste for the higher ones (ie Toughness needed to get Dwarven Toughness which is needed to get Giant's Toughness and so on).
