MotAO and Item Creation

I had a question about the prestige class Mage of the Arcane Order (MotAO) in T&B and Item Creation.

Could a Mage of the Arcane order use spells from the Spellpool to create magic items (assuming, of course, that the caster had the proper feats)? It seems like they should be able to, but the description of the Spellpool says explicity that the spells taken from the Spellpool cannot be used to learn new spells. Does this mean that I couldn't scribe a scroll from the Spellpool? If I can, why can't I write that spell into my spellbook? If not, does this mean that I can't use Spellpool spells to create other magic items? The only reasoning that makes sense to me is that the Order itself enforces the rule of not learning new Spells through the Spellpool.

What do other people think about using the Spellpool for item creation?

You can think of the Spellpool as being like a whole bunch of "on-call" scrolls. You can do anything with the Spellpool that you could do with scrolls, and that includes item creation. The exception is writing them into your spellbook, because the ability description explicitly prohibits that.

See, if you allowed only sorcs in your game, you wouldn't have any of these problems. :)

Or you can use it to make a scroll and then write the scroll into your spellbook. :D

I believe that you guys are mistaken.

I read tome and blood and here is how I understand it:

You may not scribe a scroll from any spell that was taken from the spellpool.

You may not use the spellpool to scribe scrolls or make any magic items.

This is ridiculous. Spellpools would make any and all spells available to the Wizard (for magic item creation). This is not the intent of the spellpool.

The way I see it, the spell pool provides you with a spell for instant use. You can cast it, but if you won't, it will go away after a time, so I think that scribing scrolls with it (or even use it for item creation) would not work! You get the power to cast the spell once, but you won't understand it.

Anyway, even when spellpool spells could be used with item creation: if you aren't cautious and plan ahead (with scrolls), you'll end up with a spell not in the spellpool at one day and you with a half-way finished magical item, but without the spell to continue on the work. I think that that would ruin the item!
