Mountian Giants in MM2

You know, I've played D&d since I was 8. Seen a lot of giants, ettins, ogres, etc. Seen them mostly used as fodder. I can;t really remember any cool adventure involving them.

Except for one. Except for Him.

In one of our circles first 3E campaigns, we actually climbed up a beanstalk to find a castle in the clouds. The castle was so big that the spiders infesting it used Giant Spider stats. So, we were all talking about stuff, when we all hear this incredibly loud noise coming closer. In Real Life.

You see, the DM wanted a giant. A Giant. A big mythological giant. So he upped the sixe all the way to 11. We're talking huge. Then, when he was coming down the stairs, the DM started beating his fists on the table in a "footsteps" pattern. It started out soft, then eventually got louder.

I swear to God the one D&D memory I will always hold untill my dying day is the table chatter dying as a bunch of scared PLAYERS look at each in stunned speechless, realization dawning, and shout "Run!."

So...now we have stats for those guys. Coooooooooooooooool.

Personally, I like the idea. Never cared for "giants" being no taller than 20 feet. A critter which stands about 18 feet tall doesn't fit my definition of a giant. Now, a critter about 40 feet tall DOES fit my definition of a giant. Can't wait to see it in action.
