The 13th Warrior is a very good fantasy/medieval movie, but its trailer is pretty bad. After seeing the trailer, I understand why I didn't see 13th warrior in the theatre.
Good, yes, medieval, yes, fantasy, no. :p Historacle liberties, Quickly learning a language, a bunch of torches, and a poison that kills the next day do not make the movie fantasy.

I wanted to see that movie from when it was being promoted as the original title of "The Eaters of the Dead." Of course at that time the hollywood suits would never go for that since there was only one kind of man-eating they condoned. :]

I guess I don't have to say anything about Highlander 2 (WARNING: DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE), trailer looked great but we all know what happened.

I personally will go looking for a great old one before viewing this movie, once was more than enough and while I wish this movie was an urban myth it is not.

I saw this trailer for this Movie called The Shining. Looked like a funny comedy set in some old hotel. Boy when I sat the kiddies down to watch it, I was shocked.

Wish I could find the link to that trailer.

All of Uwe Boll's films so far have had awesome trailers. All were far better than the movies themselves.

I just saw a commercial for Bloodrayne and that did not look good at all. Then again, the theatrical trailer may be better.

Of course, even a really bad trailer for one of his films would still make the movie look better than it actually is.

As for terrible trailers, 13th Warrior's is pretty bad. The one for the new Zatoichi film is horrible. It's a typical, overblown "In a world..." one. You know the type, "In a world where the people have given up hope, where evil men etc., etc.". It's terrible. I don't remember exactly what it says, but it creates the impression that Zatoichi is leading the people in a rebellion against an evil government.

I have a link to a trailer for Shining, which was a recut of The Shining to make it look like a light hearted movie. But that was fairly recent and done for fun.
