I guess I don't have to say anything about Highlander 2 (WARNING: DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE), trailer looked great but we all know what happened.
I acutaly saw this movie before seeing the first one because of the trailor. For that reason, I thought it was mearly ok at the time.

The Trailer for Million Dollar Baby made it look like nothing more than a trite boxing movie. I almost missed one of the finest films I've ever seen because of the crap trailer.

Event Horizon.

I went in thinking it was an Alien-type movie, not a Haunted House In Space-type movie.

Unbreakable.

The trailer hammered on the 'Sixth Sense' aspect of it, turning a superhero movie into a supernatural thriller.

I thought the trailer for The Fifth Element was awesome. Then I saw the movie.

Yeah. The problem there was the movie was essentially a comedy, or at least an action-comedy. The trailer didn't indicate that at all.

Very true. I loved the Fifth Element but I guess I was helped by never seeing a trailer for it. Funny, fast-paced action comedy.

Good, yes, medieval, yes, fantasy, no. :p Historacle liberties, Quickly learning a language, a bunch of torches, and a poison that kills the next day do not make the movie fantasy.

Quickly? The group was travelling hundreds of miles overland and by ship. I think several weeks were meant to have gone by (as shown in the movie by the montague of Ebin and the norsemen sitting around the fire at night).

(and it has Doogie Howser in it for gosh's sake!).
In a Nazi Gestapo looking uniform no less. Who can resist that? :D

I liked Starship Troopers well enough too. Not bad at all. Didn't hurt that it had Dina Meyer topless either.
