MS to buy Bioware?

I don't know why this would be a bad thing. AFAIK, Bioware already makes games pretty much only for Windows and the Xbox. MS buying them would simply mean they no longer have to worry about money.

MS's got a pretty good track record when it comes to putting out games and how it treats it's employees...

This rumor popped up last year as well. Bioware said that there is nothing to it.

I'm hoping this is just a rumor. I'd be heartbroken not to get any more RPG games from Bioware, as they are one of the few developers that still *make* non MMORPG games for the PC. And seeing as I'll never own an X-Box (no, not for any ranty reason, simply because it doesn't handle games I like, such as Flight sims, or deep RPGs) It could mean a big end to any RPG's for PC's for some time.

At least as far as I know. There just seems to be a huge lack of non-twitch online RPG's out there it seems.

I concur. Not a fan of pay-2-play MMORPG. Then again, they could help improve Dungeon Siege.

Having heard this one before, from what I can tell they are probably in talks with MS over a new project but from what I hear they are staying independent overall. It seems like these rumors pop up all the time usually with different big company X swallowing popular developer Y.

Just my 2cp.

They own several other game companies and they still produce the same games they did before being bought. Links. Flight Simulator. Age of whatzit.
