Appearance:
Gilberto looks like a lot of other men. A bit shorter and hairier than most but nothing too out of the ordinary. He has thick brown hair that he keeps well trimmed and a trimmed beard with no moustache. He has striking green eyes (That light up when he uses his leach and Life drain abilities). He’s fond of wearing comfortable clothing like baggy jeans and a big shirt that is as loud as he can possibly find. He wears specially made shoes because his monkey origins show in his feet.
Gilberto has a bit of an issue with being touched. He almost killed his mother by accident when she gave him a kiss goodnight on his 14th birthday. The trauma is still with him and he keeps people at arms length at all times. He is very tense around crowds and this has been an issue more than once.

Description:
Hannibal has a wolfen appearance: Narrow face, grey hair, yellow eyes, prominent canines, and pointed dog ears. He's short and solidly built, but that doesn't seem to prevent him being agile, not in the slightest. He keeps his grey hair cut short, and is always clean shaven, but it doesn't take long for him to get a five o'clock shadow. He carries no tatoos but he does have a shocking abundance of scars, each with their own story. A few of the most prominent is the one which goes from the bottom of his left ear to somewhere a little right of his chin, the half-dozen stab wounds in his stomach, and the missing top part of his right ear.

History:
Hannibal is a Canine (wolf) Moreau, and was a veteran member of his Spetznaz unit, at least compared to most other members because his unit's casualty rate was alarmingly high. Hannibal excels at tracking down enemies, or hunting as he prefers to call it, and he does so relentlessly. With his scary amount of stamina, and his strange talents, he can pursue a target for hours on end without stopping.

The officer though in turn quickly became infuriated by the number of men he'd lose on the suicide missions he was given, and organised for the unit to defect to the US. Hannibal's reason for following was simply that his loyalty was first and foremost with his unit, and he would assist them in whatever they did, because they were the men he fought alongside.

The military found out about the planned defection, and, because of the expendability of the unit simply decided to wipe them out before they carried it out. The defection was a terrible ordeal, and out of the forty-eight members of the unit at that time, only twelve of them made it to the US, and even there they lost another six to pursuing assassins. The charismatic leader, though he made it to the US, was the first casualty of the assassins.

Hannibal was also a target as he was the next most senior of the survivors. It was during a fight with the killer that he acquired the scars mentioned above. Hannibal ended up killing his assailant, but his superior was already dead in the room next door, the previous target of Hannibal's assailant. In one evening the unit was halved, but none of the assassins survived. Hannibal found it disturbingly similar to the missions his unit used to do as he spent the next month or so in hospital from the severe injuries he had suffered.

Hannibal was one of the last six, and was now looked up to as the most senior officer by those who remained. Sooner than later he and the others were quickly integrated into jobs for the US government. Hannibal found his job wasn't all that much different from his previous one, except the missions didn't seem suicidal. His loyalty is still to the unit he serves with, but should any of the few survivors from his Spetsnaz unit ever need his help he would drop whatever he was doing and aid them however he could.

Background

Ben was created in a laboratory upon request from Schlumberger Ltd. He was to be used as cheap (i.e. slave) labor at a resource collection camp deep in the mountain wilderness of the British Columbia/Alberta border. Schlumberger had recently bought out the rights for the area from a local colliery company and wanted to set up a rudimentary camp for resource testing.

The idea was to drop in a few select candidates at the site to work the area and chart it to provide data on it's suitabliity for a full time site. Ben and his "litter" mates were created specificaly for this job and tailor made to thrive in the environment he was to be left in.

Unfortunately, the human element of the expedition was not. Within a few months the dangerous work and harsh conditions had taken it's toll. Ten of the dozen men were dead, as were two of Ben's three litter mates. A final show down occured with the men receiving orders to abandon the camp and destroy all remaining resources before pick up. The men reasoned that the mutants were a "resource" and property of the company and tried to act accordingly.

By the end of the night the camp was aflame and the remaining men were dead. Ben and his remaining brother, Brian the Bruin, planned to flee the camp fearing retribution. They decided to split up, with Brian planning on following the Rockies to the north while Ben would go south. They said their good-byes by the raging glow of the fire and went their seperate ways.

Ben travelled a southerly path down the Rockies and came upon a small cluster of human hamlets. He hung around the area for the better part of a year, living in the shadows and on the fringes of human civilization. He improved his ability to survive in the wild and he also learned a little more about humanity from scavenging in the town dumps. He learned that the country to the south was much more tolerant of his kind.

He made a plan to head south to see if he could be part of this world, leaving his crimes and his past behind.

Anna "Kali" Shakdar is a mantis moureau, trained in the army from her childhood to be a sniper. She is cold as ice, trained to kill, and has never formed any bands of friendship. She grew up to be quite an exotic beautie, but doesn't realise it. She is obsessed with her "work", looking for the perfect sniping angle evrywhere she goes. Years of abuse have given her a very opiniated view of "normal" humanity.

When not training she goes out in the wilds, rockclimbing and hunting. She has no social life whatsoever.

"Humanity hates us, a hate that is driven by fear. We are smarter, stronger, tougher. They have every right to fear. We are the next step on the evolutionary ladder. The best thing is, we get paid to kill 'em. Now THAT'S what I call funny."

She is small, with a slight greenish cast to her skin. Her most striking feat, however, are her yellow pupîlless eyes. She usually wears tight clothing, with narrow shoes. Her favorite dress colour is black, with some red accents. She allways wears designer sunglasses. She wears her curly black hair in a ponytail. She has a red dot on her forehead, indicating her Hindu beliefs, but most wise-men would be appalled by the "different" look she has on their holy scriptures.
