I'm as vulnerable to the initial effects of poison as anyone, but I have some ability to lessen the effects over time. Of course, I haven't tested this under battlefield conditions..."

The twins are generally busying themselves cleaning their armor and polishing the matcing sickles they carry, and Tiny is sitting in a sort of quiet happiness, but the Mountain looks up (and up...) sharply at Ironwolf's words. "Staying alive's nice, but people come to the Pits for glory. I've seen folks knock over their own teammate to get a crowd pleasing hit in. Petra keeps that sort of thing mostly out of her stable, but make no mistake, the gladiators here want glory. Petra asks us to give that glory to you, she's got a powerful interest in making you stars and I'd suggest... well, I'd suggest two things I suppose - that you be greatful that you get to be the stars, and that you take her wishes as seriously as we will." He grins a little. "Its not like I'm gonna risk my life for you, but if I leave off a bug when I've got it on the ropes, take the oppertunity to finish it off and make it look good."

(ooc: remember that bless is a morale bonus same as inspire courage, so they won't stack....)

the beast match begins

ok, all eight of you enter the arena that afternoon and you see that in addition to the gate on the opposite end, there are two pens set up along the sides. There is a larger crowd than for the prior day's matches, and they are cheering enthusiasticly. I'll need an initiative for everyone and your warmup round actions (before they release the vermin)

as before, rosalynn is red, ironwolf is blue, vanitri is grey and micheal is brown. the twins are green, Tiny is purple and the Mountain is yellow.

Ironwolf walks into the stadium with both his swords sheathed and his shield at the ready. In his right hand, he carries a javelin. Waiting until the music has stirred his blood, he walks forward and readies an action to throw the javelin at the first monster to come within 55' (at a -2 for range.)

Throw d20+1=12 for 7 damage if it hits
Initiative of 17 or just below Rosalyn if hers is lower.

Vanitri will move forward to H11, bow in hand, raising his hands in the air trying to rally the crowd behind them.

"Life's far more important than glory, and don't think that any of us will forget that. But we do undersand the awkwardness of the situation, and I thank you for being willing to do this for Petra, if not for us. And if all goes well, there will be plenty of glory to go around."

OOC: Darn it, forgot about that, well ,that means there will be an extra spell to go around for a potential cure. And make sure you keep the Enlarge, way too useful to not take.

Rosalynn stands amid them and begins to sing her song, loudly and with heart, hoping the words will take their desired effect. She sings louder than last time...wondering for a split second if the crowd can hear her at all...

She clutches her bow reflexivly and thinks Bugs....ew...
