OK, I finally broke down and ordered the "Unreleased Soundtrack Music from George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead" cd. This is a compilation of the "library tracks" he used in the film; it's very different from music recorded by Goblin which was released on the official soundtrack 20 years ago.
This music is so odd. (That's what you get when you score movies with public domain library tracks, I guess). I can't believe how many memories this music is evoking.
Does anyone else play "old" movie music just for fun? I'm not playing a game, prepping a game, or doing anything requiring a zombie mood. I'm not even planning on watching any zombie movies tonight.
I suppose if I could get my hands on some other bizarro soundtracks, I might just put them all in the old CD changer, hit shuffle, and wallow in movie goodness during all my free time. Oh, wait, I can get more at the same website.
OK, rambling over.
P.S. The most amazing part is that the CD shipped from the U.K. to the U.S. in four days. Yowsa!
