Must-Have Dungeon Magazines/Adventures

Second Most Angelic Devil Ever
Now that Dungeon Magazine is going away, :( I have finally gotten interested in owning a few creative, ready-made adventures--especially for high-level (15+) characters.

Which issues/adventures have you used the most and would recommend the most strongly?

Contrary to Pokemon, you gotta have them all.

From experience, I couldn't recommend 124 and The Whispering Cairn more highly (even though this is a 1st level adventure). The Styes adventure and it's follow-up (I can't remember the numbers off by heart) are also right up there. In the end though, I have to agree with the previous response, any Dungeon magazine is worth the money.

IMO, #133 with Chimes at Midnight is a good pick.

Any of the ones with the adventiure paths will get a number of votes.

Still, you'll have a hard time going wrong looking for recent issue lots of eBay. Older issue lots are a good choice, too, if you aren't weeded to 3rd edition, or a just looking for adventure inspiration.

Unlike you, I'm not fabulously wealthy. :D So I need to limit my selection.

Just start buying them as they come on Ebay for cheap, heck I have been collecting them since the mid 80's when issue #1 came out.. so it does take a while no matter when you start.

I personally say, the entire collection is well worth it because over time you will grab things from every issue.. encounter here and there, side or main plots, NPCs, magic items, locations, the list goes on. While I love the recent issues and especially the AP series, I have to admit some of the older issues have much better adventures as far as plots and unusual situations.

This may be useful to you. The following is a list of some issues/adventures in the level range you are looking for. Issue 100 (The Lich Queen's Beloved - Githyanki special) is exquisite.

EDIT: this list from the sortable index at : http://intwischa.com/dungeon/

This is fantastic! Thank you so much!

However, I'm still searching for people's favorites.

I just can not say enough good things about issue 94. Chok full of adventures, and everything in there is useful at one point in a campaign. Two really cool Critical Threats, a low level side trek that can serve as a great hook, a sweet bear hunting adventure, one of the best small dungeons I've played in (with a creepy and mysterious feel to it), a high level bank robbers scenario, and to top it all off, The Spiral of Mansezzine, a mind flayer prison!

Dungeon #112 Maure Castle

One Dungeon magazine, one adventure. One of the best higher level adventures I have played in a long time. It's dungeon crawlin' at its best. If you like devastating monsters, crazy NPCs, mind-boggling locations, lots of traps and cool loot then you will like Maure Castle.

Edit: Maure Castles is especially suited for evil DMs and PCs that think they'll win every fight with a snip of their fingers :]
