These are just a handful of the guys' other hateful tracts written in the name of Christ. I think that if Jesus read this guys' interpretation of his message, he would puke in disgust!

Man can I get an animated gif of that?

Name is "newbie". Topic is old and tired. Sentence begins by "omg". Hmmm... What's that smell? I sense the foul odor of an evil, green, regenerating, giant!

Everyone brings fire and acid, we have a troll on hands!

The question is: Who is right? When not looking at Christians vs. Muslims / Bhudda. but at Christians vs. D&D there are a few interesting points. What actually is the problem?

The problem is that high-magic, low morality campaigns can have a bad influence on Christians when they can not distinguish between reality and fantasy.
I agree with that. I would even say that the above is also true for non-Christians.

Note that I say 'can'. In most cases there should be no problem.

The same is true for other games, when we used to be kids we played cops, knights, criminals. As long as it is healthy fantasy/imagination no problem, but if kids are swinging real knifes around, because they are 'knights' than we have a problem.

I think most Christians do not understand the game, and therefor condemn it.

So, it's proven. When people already have issues, they can have issues. In other news, liquid water is wet.

They can have issues with D&D. With movies. With chess playing. With sport. With anything, in fact, even with nothing at all.

I doubt the truth of this claim. While most Christians do not understand the game (which just makes them like most people), it has not been my experience that most Christians condemn DnD. Maybe in the "Bible Belt" of the U.S., but I doubt elsewhere.

As a committed atheist, I don't normally go around defending Christians, but this claim just looks unfair and incorrect.

Being a Christian myself, I know a lot of people who condemn the game, but with some explanation from me, they usually tend to accept it.
