Mutant High Issue 3: Revelations
Tessaract waits for everyone who's going to gather round her, then nods.
"Okay, there'll be a bit of a jerk..."
The sensation of teleporting is a bizarre one. A feeling of being simultaneously pushed and pulled by equal and opposing forces. Even though the net sum was zero, the body tried to compensate, leading to a moment of unsteadiness. The world of Magneto's bunker blurred, twisted, and then they were all standing in a forest glade.
"One more time!" Tess said happily... yank, stagger, blur...
They were at the side of a road. The highway. A car drove past.
"Getting my bearings," Tess explained. "Gonna follow the road a bit."

By this time it was getting easier. The impulse to try to overcorrect for the feeling of being shoved could be overridden with a bit of practice. Tess follows the freeway, then abruptly cuts across open ground, leaping thousands of feat with each jump...until abruptly they're in the achingly familiar courtyard of the X Mansion.
Tessa announces "Third floor. Housewares, lingerie and a big school fulla mutants," in her amiable southern drawl.

Miranda let go of Tesseract's arm, stepped forward and almost seemed to vanish as she returned to her ghost form. She was nervous.
"Here goes nothing..." Miranda began to search for signs of life-force.
Note: I'm assuming that the courtyard is empty atm and that the cleaning crewsa/survivors/etc. are elsewhere.

Spikes stares at the other two students wondering just what they were doing here, and if it was against their will. "So, what's Tin Can here talking about?"

The group arrives at the mansion to find the place remarkably active. Police and government officials are all over the place, and near the front door Storm is speaking and gesturing emphatically to a man in an FBI coat. She and a few students standing nearby seem to be engaged in a rather heated argument. Out back there are nearly a dozen black tarps, under which lie - presumably, since Miranda can't sense any life from them - Dead mutants.
Within seconds of their arrival, the students have a dozen weapons trained on them as shouts of "FREEZE" pierce the air. Storm rushes over, motioning for the feds to drop their guns, and moves up to you "Miranda, John.. where are the others?" She glances at Tess curiously for a moment as the guns lower and the bigwig makes his way over.
[Magneto's Base]
While Nightcrawler,and Temper sketch out a map of the facility, Magneto and Serena investigate the base via thermal scans, finding over a hundred warm bodies and several large heat sources - Probably generators and computers, though they can't tell which of the large heat sources would be the main computer. The base seems heavily defended and extends fairly deep.

Caros, still waiting on what Alchemist plans to do/say now that you're face to face with "Magneto"...

Xi'an does his best to look scared...it is not hard with so many guns all of a sudden trained on him.
"They are with Professor Summers. After the plane crashed and in all of the fighting we got separated from the school. We found Tess here, she's a mutant, and she was just about to arrive at the school when the attack happened. She helped us get to safety."
Xi'an looks at the Feds.
"Professor Monroe, could we talk to you in private? We were sent here to check some things out and report back."

Serena frowns. "This isn't going to be easy. We're gonna have to use stealth instead of an outright assault." she looks at the heatsources. "Big computers generally need cold rooms with well regulated temperatures in order to operate correctly, otherwise they tend to fry real easily." she gazed at the thermals, looking for such tell-tale signs.
