My Girlfriend needs roleplaying ideas

If you are using the Gestalt rules, and she does not want any spellcasting, monk or rogue surely add the most to one of the fighting classes.

Fighter/Monk (oriental style / Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Barbarian/Rogue (Conan-esque, Valeria), Swashbuckler/Rogue (Anna Valerious (Van Helsing) would come to mind).

[Bards R Us]

Just a note, return to the temple of elemental evil really isn't much of a roleplayer's campaign. My group likes hack and slash, and even we got bored of all the fighting that happens once you get into the big temple. Seriously, once you're into the "we have to fight our way into the inner circle" part of the campaign, it just drags on forever.

I think we played every other week for a year just doing that, and finally just quit.

She should totally be a Bard. There's no class that's more fun to roleplay, and no class that has more interesting abilities. Bard is easily my favorite class to play, and they're even pretty good in combat if you build them like a melee cleric (swapping charisma for wisdom, of course).

I'll second the bard as well, lots of fun. They are not the most powerful, but thats OK since it doesn't seem like she would care about that.

nurse and french maid often works. though sometimes she might enjoy becoming a police officer (means you can use the handcuffs without appearing too kinky)

Hmm....Well, she works for the police dept. so that's not really roleplaying. And she hates the french, so I'm guessing a Hospitaler is the class for her.

If you have Dragon Magazine check out the "plays the thing" articles, they're usally pretty good with role playing tips. There's roleplayingtips dot com (?) I think the URL is correct which is great for free stuff both for players and DM's.
