My Group is TOO Efficient!

My character in our current campaign* is set up like so: she's got poisoned darts that she throws at enemies she plans to attack, throws them in round one and then closes to fight in melee. It's an awesome set up. Toss a dart, do 2d6 strength damage, and force the opponet to fight me up close. She's a lean, mean, Chinese, punching machine.

However, recently I've found that my group of ranged-attacking adventuring buddies is overly efficient! By the time I close to do my punching, kicking, and grappling they've already dropped the opponent! So - I sail in just in time to watch the baddies fall!

She's a psionic (Battle Mind) with the Burst power, so I run in quick like a bunny and ready myself for some super mega ultra awesome butt-kicking... but get nothing!

What can a melee fighter do to get in on the action?!

If your DM is only giving stand-up straight fights, he's doing a disservice to the cannon fodder. :) Past that, I'd suggest to change to CON-damaging poison (like pufferfish or rattler venom) and assisting your buddies in blowing them away. :)

Yeah, i don't see it as a potential problem quite yet, unless it happens EVERY adventure. Maybe your party has just gotten lucky recently, and the tide could turn next game at a moment's notice, and you'll be glad to be a boosted dart-tossing fiend.

No - there's not a *problem*... just looking for ways to get in on the action, too! :)

Use your darts on your fellow PCs first. That way, you'll be able to go to town on the bad guys without them interfering :)

Close, but don't use the darts on the characters, use it on the players

Or if you have an aversion to causing injury to them, just pull the "Oops, I just spilled your mountain dew, all over your sheet. What? You can't read your attack bonus. Oh well, you'd better start rewriting it. I'll handle these kobolds for you while you regroup."

That's just mean and rude., Its okay to attack a player, but going after the character sheet crosses the line.

Suggest that the GM - The Universe, correct? - try spreading out the opponents a bit more, or use more mooks.

Remember the Modern mantra: mooks and cover...mooks and cover...mooks and cover...
