My next project (#5)!

Squeeze in 3.5 scorpions was replaced by constrict, which should also be the case in this situation. So no feats... no skill points, so:

Climb +8, Hide +1, Spot +4

Saves are correct. BAB/Grapple is +3/+11. The attack and full attack lines need fixing, and the fly speed doesn't need a squares listing.

So?:

Constrict (Ex): A BUG deals automatic sting damage with a successful grapple check.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a BUG must hit with its claw attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. If it wins the grapple check, it establishes a hold and can constrict.
Poison (Ex): Injury, Fortitude DC 14, initial damage and secondary damage 1d6 Dex. The save DC is Constitution-based.

The constrict does automatic claw damage each round in scorpions - it grabs and squeezes with its claw while stinging (which still has to be rolled for).

hello, i forgot to respond all day. ;)

these last two should be fairly simple and easy. In fact, though I have whined and complained about this source, the sampling I had to work with has been fairly mild compared to what it could have been!

Being astride an elk in combat may be the last place any warrior would want to be. However, in the case of the ELK, these animals are the ideal for those who know how to handle and befriend them. Standing as high as seven-ft. tall, with males sporting an enormous rack of antlers, these steeds can tear apart other horses if properly trained.
ELK gain the Improved Bull Rush feat as a bonus feat even though they do not meet the prerequisites.

for starters, if i give it Power Attack, then it doesn't been to take Improved Bull Rush as a bonus feat. ;) that leaves it needing only one more...

How about Alertness?

Let's see... speed should be 8 squares, not 10. BAB/Grapple should be +4/+14. So the gore is actually correct for attack, but it should do 1d8+9 damage. Space/reach should be 10ft/5ft. Skills should be Listen +8 (+5 ranks, +1 Wis, +2 feat), Spot +7 (+4 ranks, +1 Wis, +2 feat).

and that's really all there is to say about that. :)

last one for now!

The CAT is the primal ancestor of all the other large cats, from lynxes to lions. It is around 4 ½ ft. long and weighs around 80 pounds, with a sandy-colored or brown coat. Some varieties have lynx-like tufted ears. CATs can be caught and domesticated, though the process is difficult and dangerous.
Combat
CATs are careful about which creatures they tangle, but they are at least capable of fleeing most angry foes if a fight or attempted feed turns nasty.
Pounce (Ex): If a CAT leaps upon a foe during the first round of combat, it can make a full attack even if it has already taken a move action.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, the CAT must hit with its bite attack. If it gets a hold, it can rake.
Rake (Ex): A CAT that gets a hold can make two rake attacks (+6 melee) with its hind legs for Id3+1 damage each. If the CAT pounces on an opponent, it can also rake.
Skills: CATs receive a +4 racial bonus to Hide and Move Silently checks and a +8 racial bonus to Balance checks. In areas of heavy undergrowth, the Hide bonus improves to +6.
Training a CAT
Training a CAT as a pet or working animal requires a successful Handle Animal check (DC 18 for a young creature, or DC 23 for an adult) and that the creature not be hostile. CATs mature in about one-and-a-half years. CAT kittens between three months and four months old are worth 200 gp apiece.

They actually qualify for Weapon Finesse! Amazing!

Let's see... their other feat should be Alertness. Everyone loves Alertness! The pounce needs to be 3.5 standardized, but Imp. Grab and rake look pretty 3.5 kosher. The squares of the Climb speed don't need to be there. It should be "and", not "or", for the claw and bite attacks, and of course they need to be put into correct lines.

Skill-wise, it's a bit too high. It has 12, should have only 6. How about:
Balance +12 (+4 Dex, +8 racial), Climb +11 (+3 Str, +8 natural), Hide +9* (+4 Dex, +4 racial, +1 rank), Listen +5 (+1 Wis, +2 feat, +2 ranks), Move Silently +9 (+4 Dex, +4 racial, +1 rank), Spot +5 (+1 Wis, +2 feat, +2 ranks)

Demiurge out.

cool, that just about finishes this one off.

how is the Training text? is it even necessary, that is, does it add anything to what the Handle Animal skill description already has?

All it adds is value of a kitten (useful) and how long they take to mature. Other than that, which can be stuffed into flavor-text, the training section can be cut without losing much.
