My opinion of 3.5 is short and sweet

Example - creature facing. the old way and new way both have their pros and cons, but in the end I'd have to say neither way is better than the other.

Just as an interesting aside, I asked Skip "The Sage" Williams in the Sage Advice chat at Wizards yesterday why the size change was made for Large and tall creatures. In 3E, the majority are 5 ft. square -- now, they're 10 ft. square. He said it had to do with the focus on miniatures...no one, not even Wizards itself, makes minis of the Large and tall creatures whose bases will fit in a 1" square.

Why do you think its not newbie friendly? Haven't you read the better explanations the extra page at the beginning specifically FOR new people. They made it a lot better in those reguards.

I disagree. the new weapon sizes are needless. A "halfling longsword" was a shortsword, and that was fine by me. Now.... yick. *shrug*

But I can kepp 3.0 weapon sizing with all the tasty new 3.5 stuff - so everything's fine by me!

(Was I really excited enough to use that exclamation mark? Actually, I think not.)
