OK, well, the pictures themselves are pretty crappy, but I've been relatively happy with the paint jobs, even though some of them are two years old or so now. I may retake the pictures soon, and try to get better lighting so you can actually see the detail better.
Here's my blitzers: I used the "burna boy" heads that feature a big face mask, and gave them all spiky shoulder pads to set them off.
Here's the Black Orcs; all nobs from Gorkamorka or WH40k. Yeah, I know you can only have up to 4 on a team, but I like those miniatures, so I got a bit carried away. After I did these, the "new" Warhammer black orcs were released, with the big armor and cast iron helmets. I may make four of those two, just for fun.
And I have two throwers; also using burna boy heads, this time the ones with the goggles. I particularly like the one that's telling his reciever to come in closer; after all, these are only orcs. Passing's not really their strong point.
No team is complete without at least some linemen. I have six miniatures, although I never start a team with more than about three of them, and I certainly don't buy more as the season progresses.
Because orc teams can take up to four goblins, I usually have a couple. They're cheaper than orcs, and they actually make halfway decent recievers. Halfway decent being the operative term there.
Secret weapons are kinda fun. Here's my ball and chain, and my chainsaw. I actually have minis to create custom pogo stick and bombardier miniatures, but since I am unlikely to use them any time soon, they're still sitting in a plastic bag. :\
I do really like the big guys, though. Here's two ogres I painted up that I actually don't use.
And here's the ogre (and troll) that I do use, because they fit better on the orc team, I think. The ogre is actually a WH40k "Big Boss", which is a nearly ogre sized miniature. He looks, especially with the paint job he has, like a black orc "bigger brother" rather than a completely separate and discreet type of creature, which is exactly what I wanted. The troll is the BB standard one, albeit with a custom head.
Because I'm a bit of a g00ber, I also painted up stuff that I really don't need to. Here's my apothecary and my coach, for example. I also have an unpainted orc referee for the "I've Got My Eye On You" rule, with a "green stuff" flag (to be painted red, naturally) that he's holding up in the air.
And because, hey, who wants to use those silly little cardboard counters, I've got a horde of squigs that can all serve as reroll counters, score counters, turn counters and what have you. Complete with squig herders, 'coz, y'know, squigs are really unruly and all that.
And here's the Chaos Cup, the trophy we're all in the mix for this season. Unfortunately, my team is probably not a strong contender this time around; my strategy really struggled against skaven with their lightning fast passing plays until I modified it, and lizardmen are really strong until orcs start to get more skills and pass them up finally. Then again, my "pre season" games won't matter once we start the actual cup playoffs; our league is small enough that anybody who wants to can qualify to play in the playoffs...
And finally, although he does not feature on the orc team, obviously, I just painted up my rat ogre miniature, which I'm quite happy with, so here's a few shots of him. He's based on one of the "new" Warhammer rat ogres, with the arm of a different new warhammer rat ogre, and the head of archive Boneripper, with the big unicorn horn snipped off and replaced by a green stuff steel plate. They don't really show that well in these shots, but check out those dried up blood stains on the bandaged arm.
