My PCs are crazy!

Well, some probably still live in cells in the Underdark, for how else would they get new recruits? These three probably lead a "double life" and have a day job (or "night job", as it were) that periodically allows them to visit the surface for these moonlit dances...

As of yet, I have no idea if the PCs encounter these three again, and if so, under what circumstances. It is unlikely that would recognize each other, anyway.

If it were me, I'd take the opportunity to riff on old "sword and sandal" epics, with the drow as Romans and the worshippers of Eilistraee as the embattled early Christians. (A scene where unarmed Eilistraee worshippers are forced to fight giant spiders in the gladiatorial arena would be a must.)

There are a few different ways you could run with this. If you want to get all mystical, perhaps the dancing women were on the surface specifically to attract the PCs, since the church of lolth is closing in on the cult of Eilistraee, and they need the PCs help to smuggle their children to relative safety on the surface.

ROFL! How on earth could they conclude that this was your planned game when it was their idea to wander off into the underdark?! Classic!

Well, a good DM learns to anticipate the desires of his players. Unfortunately, it seems that I wasn't quite good enough.

I should have seen it coming, though. After all, these are the same guys who wanted to to go to the Endless Ice Sea merely to enjoy the view, so how could they possibly resist a chance to explore the infamous Underdark?

I'd be inclined to enslave them, and force them to breed with grimlocks in an attempt to create a better race of slaves. ;)

Nah. That's no fun for anyone involved - including me.

I'm loving this. The PCs could be sneaking down a back alley, and they get drug into a house where the Elistraee priests all exclaim "the saviours! The saviours have come to free us from the tyranny just as the prophecy has foretold."

Could end up being the greatest campaign you've ever ran, Jürgen.

I'm not sure if I am going to run with this, but I like the sheer perversity of the situation...

Well, let's hope so.

Heh. Well, they didn't really believe it, I just said that, to make him feel better about it, but don't tell him. ;)

Bye
