My players need a name - YOU can help!

I told my party they needed a name for a short campaign that was based in Cormyr and involved interacting with a bunch of other adventuring groups.

The best they could come up with??

Ronin.

I made sure that NPCs always reacted with confusion, ranging from "what does that mean?" to "my, that's quite the anachronism, isn't it?"

their personalities in public (which tend to be very subdued and quiet)
You could play off this - The Quiet Guardians.

NPC1 - "What? Those quiet blokes in the corner? Took on a titan? Bah!"
NPC2 - "Keep your voice down! You don't want 'em angry at you!"

I like "Mormo's Undoing" the best so far.

why not let them name themselves- it would be fun to see what they agree on...

NO! Never let parties decide for themselves. Ours was an FR campain, and we settled on "The Cookiedale Militia." Lovely...

How about naming them from the monsters point of view.
Examples could be:
Lunch,
Those 7 tasty snacks

One of the _PCs_ in my Britannia 3E game is called Ronin.

Another one is "Carmen Broodlove". That one was by a player whose character in another game is "Herc Stormbringer".

But then he's Irish.

Ooooo I like this idea. Anything to get them in trouble with even more titanspawn (and insulting the Gods at the same time - that's twice as nice :D)[...]

I'd vote either Mormo's Undoing. OR The Serpentbanes.

Thanks guys. I had a really long day, and hearing that y'all liked my idea made for an almost immediate change of mood now that I'm hope. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Mormo's Undoing!

Says a lot about how the populace views them.

Over at the Savage Sword of Meepo... I'm not sure what were called. Could be the Dragon's Chosen. could be the Rockettes. We don't get out to the populace much.
