Mystic Theurge

I've scoured the books and come up empty. Does anyone know of a way to advance in both Divine and Arcane caster classes (Cleric and Wizard or Cleric and Sorcerer) at the same time other than Mystic Theurge? Once you finish 10 levels of MT you need 4 more levels of something else before you can start taking MT again at level 21.

No. Nothing else exists. If you had arcane/druid, you could go with Arcane Heirohpant and top that off with Mystic Theurge, or if you went arcane/shadowcaster, you could use Nocturnmancer and top that off with Mystic Theurge, but as is, there is nothing printed that will progress cleric/wizard or cleric/sorcerer. Sorry.

There is the Fochlucan Lyrist, which has dual spellcasting progression (arcane and divine), full BAB, OK HD, and full Bardic Music progression. FL takes a lot of finagling to enter, though: tons of skillpoints, Bardic stuff, Evasion, Druidic language, and divine casting...

True Necromancer (Libris Mortis), and also - does anyone remember where the Ur Priest was? As I recall, a Wiz 7/Ur Priest 3/MT 10 makes 9th level spells in both.

Ah, yes. Ur-Priest is Book of Vile Darkness.

A level 7 Wiz/3 Ur-Priest/10 MT will have effective caster level of 17 Wizard/13 Ur-Priest. An Ur-Priest gets 9th level Cleric spells at 10th level.

Ur-Priest was reprinted without major changes in Complete Divine.

True Necromancer might be considered a trap, though, since it doesn't even end up as good a necromancer as a single-classed Cleric.

A reasonable DM will simply add 4 non-epic levels to the MT progression, simply to avoid all this hoop-jumping.

Also, the epic MT is a trap! It's better to simply go back to your original base classes than take epic MT levels. You've been warned.

Of course, epic levels as written are one big mess, so a reasonable DM either stops at 20 or writes his own.

There's no point in taking epic MT levels. It doesn't advance both classes at the same time.

Something or other trickster allows you to advance CLASS FEATURES of another class for two of three levels.

Uncanny Trickster, Complete Scoundrel. Unfortunately, a Mystic Theurge's dual spellcasting progression isn't a class feature of its own in this sense, because it references the base classes' spellcasting, which it only progresses. So Uncanny Trickster levels can be taken to progress an actual class feature (the Wizard's OR the Cleric's spellcasting), but not the Mystic Theurge's mere progression of that class feature.
