Hey Tidus...

If you search around there are quite a few threads here on the Mystic Theurge...a perusal of those should answer any questions you might have had.

I found a really cool Red Mage ish prestige class called Mystic THeurge. It's here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rs/20030402a . It states that you get spells per day by your Arcane spellcating class. NOw, I'm a 4th level Sorc, do I get my spells that I would normally get? If I'm a wizard do I get my spells without having to copy something into my spellbook?
Actually he seems to be asking a Rules question, not a balnce question. Yes to both questions Tidus.

Actually, if you were a Wizard, you would still have to use your Spellbook for your Wizards spells. MT doesn't change HOW you cast, just adds to WHAT you can cast. Try not to call it broken until you've playtested it, it isn't as bad as it looks at first.

Titus, you add your Mystic Theurge level to one Arcane and one Divine caster level, in the same manner as gaining incresed caster levels with any other prestige class that grants them.

The key difference with Mystic Theurge is that you get TWO caster levels for ONE class level. How these caster levels are applied has not changed.

This means that a Cleric 3/Wizard 3/ Mystic Theurge 3 has all the casting abilities, spells known, and spells per day of a Cleric 6/Wizard 6. Yes, this includes spells in your spellbook.

Hope that helped :)
