Ok here is something interesting maybe. Is the mystic thurge spell progression considered a class progrssion? If it is then as a geomancer can you progress it even further since it just says +1 level of existing class? since mystic thurge is a class it would make sense. cheesy but hey if you can do it you might as well.

The Mystic Theurge doesn't have a class list, or spells per day, or spells known. All it does is enhance another class (or two).
'+1 spellcasting level' can apply to wizard, or cleric, or bard, etc; it can apply to 'Assassin', for example, which is a PrC but has its own spells per day etc; it can't apply to 'Loremaster', or 'Arcane Trickster', because all they do is increase another class's spells.
