I'll be running three sessions of Dread: The First Book of Pandemonium (for info, check the link in my sig):
First Degree Martyr
The first victim was found, mutilated beyond recognition, inside a bathroom. The door was locked from the inside. The second victim was torn to pieces, and the damage was so severe that the body was initially thought to belong to two victims. The coroner's report indicated that cause of death was suicide. As if that weren't bad enough, two members of Raleigh City Council have turned up dead in the past week. The papers won't say what was done to the bodies, but your sources tell you that it was pretty horrific. All you know is that both victims were found in a similar position: nailed to the side of a church, at least forty feet off the ground. No one has a clue how it was done. Except you, of course. This is the work of demons, and you're the only ones who can put a stop to it. It's going to be another one of those days.
Death Squad
Last week, the mayor and the chief of police held a press conference to announce the success of the Narcotics Task Force, which was formed one year ago as a response to the escalation of drug traffic into the city. After a very rough start, the NTF seems to be doing extremely well -- drug-related crimes in Raleigh are suddenly down almost 40%. In fact, street crime has all but dropped off the radar. The politicians are gloating, but you're not so sure. Last night, a detective was decapitated in his home. Whatever killed him left footprints that scorched the carpet. A homeless woman near the scene of the crime described a dead man with a bloody sword. The authorities insist that her story is the result of drug use, but it sounds to you like there may be more to the story. Word on the street is that something serious is about to go down, and you're the only ones that can stop it before things get out of control.
Revolutionary War
When angry protesters at the World Trade Summit started throwing molotov cocktails and pipe bombs, nervous policemen retaliated with rubber bullets and tear gas. When the smoke cleared, and the crowd had dispersed, four corpses were found in the rubble. The bodies were covered with bite marks. The remainder of the summit was postponed, and the authorities sealed the area off immediately. An hour later, a massive detonation leveled the headquarters of the State Bureau of Investigation in downtown Raleigh. Three blocks away, an explosion leveled St. Gregory's Church. Six victims were found, mutilated, in the smoking ruins, and your sources tell you that the church was desecrated after the explosion -- while the fire was still raging. No one has taken responsibility for these attacks, but you know the work of a demon when you see it. The cops don't have a clue. Time to step in and solve this problem before any other innocent people get hurt.
