NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

Sorry about the delay. Failed a save against real life.

Is the kaorti allowed to use the withdraw action to take off into the air without provoking an AoO? If so, I'm gonna want to do that and fly towards the center of the arena. If not, the kaorti will swing a claw at the beetle, then take off and hope for the best.

Round 81: The kaorti starts flying to the south to 10N0E, then east to 10N60E, then north to 15N60E20Z, heading north. The beetle scuttles to 20N60E, looking up.

Okay, so now the kaorti wants to make a Fly-by Attack with its newly-acquired. The wing sergeant has the requisite feats, but I have no idea exactly how this action is executed, so I'll let you handle it.

The kaorti cannot use Flyby Attack. You only gain the creature's racial bonus feats, and Flyby Attack is a regular feat for the wing sergeant.

D'oh! Well, that sucks.

The kaorti-turned-flying-monkey hurls a shiny, black dart down towards the beetle and swoops away. It flares out a wing and spins in place, ready to make another pass.

Attacking with a dart at +4 for 1d4-2 damage, then flying to 45N60E20Z and turning around (20 feet of movement).

Round 82

The dart punctures the beetle's carapace! (Rolled 23) 1 point of damage! The beetle has 5 hp left.

The beetle moves to 45N60E.

The kaorti cannot whirl around in place. It has average maneuverability, so the most it can turn in one square is 90 degrees. Remember to always state which direction a flying creature is facing at the end of its move, unless it has perfect maneuverability.

The dart barely gets through the beetle's carapace (rolled 16) for 1 point of damage. The beetle has 4 HP left. The beetle moves to 15N60E and twitches its antennae.

OOC Gansk, how many darts does the kaorti have? In its stat block, it says, 'darts', not 'dart', so I assume it has more than one. Should there be a standard number of darts to carry, like there is with bolts and arrows?

Oops, I forgot about the 90 degree thing last round.

I assigned the kaorti two darts when it entered the arena. Refer to post #130 (round 80).

Oops, my bad with the flying thing. Well, is it acceptable to turn 90 degrees in one square, move over to the next square, and turn another 90 degrees?

Now, I've got a question about one of the kaorti's spell-like abilities. It says it can cast reduce, but 3.5 split that spell into reduce person and reduce animal. Which one does the kaorti have? Does it have both? Does it have old-school reduce, which can affect everything?

Regardless...

The kaorti screeches loudly at the beetle and wheels about. It drops to the ground in front of the enormous vermin and slashes at the beast with its newly-acquired claws.

Okay, so, if my calculations are correct...
Starting from 15N60E20Z, facing north
Turn counterclockwise in place 90 degrees (10 feet), leaving me facing west
Fly to 15N55E20Z (5 feet)
Turn counterclockwise in place 90 degrees (10 feet), leaving me facing south
Fly to 5N60E20Z (5 feet), facing SE
Fly to 10N65E20Z (10 feet), facing NE
Fly to 10N65E0Z (20 feet)
Total movement: 60 feet

Then a claw attack.
