OOC: Is the scorpion only 3HD? The hp losses don't add up. :)

Oh, about the Deathlock, just have him 5ft-step to 115N0E and then start summoning. Oh, ugulu, I'll have you know I resemble that remark! I used to have a Member's Only jacket when I was a wee lad. :p

OOC: well that's just uncalled for...

D.L. Ugly has the centipede appear in 110n 15e.

OOCII: not having used much summoning, what's left for D.L. to do? Does he get a normal round now (Std+Move) or is part burned up by the previous casting? If he can act normally, he'll wait for the centipede to attack [for the flank] then move to 85n 5e and cast magic missile; if he can only 5' step, he'll go to 110n 0e and cast on the defensive.

Re OOCII: I have used much summoning with my halfling conjurer and my druid (summon nature's ally - yet another reason druids kick butt). The summoning spell ends just before D.L.'s turn in this round, so he has a full round. One change in 3.5 from 3.0 is that the caster can decide particulars of the spell at the end of casting, instead of at the beginning (this change was just brought to my attention in Gansk's last session), so D.L. can decide where the centipede appears after the action of the opponent (within close range, of course).

OOC: I don't see anything wrong with the 110N15E placement of the centipede. That creates a flanking situation.

The centipede bites for 1. (Rolled 17+2) The scorpion resists the poison. (Rolled 14 Fort save) DL concentrates (rolled 23) and shoots two missiles at the scorpion for 9. The scorpion has 12 hp left.

Round 263: The scorpion hits DL with a claw, grabs on (rolled 23 vs. 12), and constricts. DL takes a total of 24 points of damage and is destroyed. Then the scorpion disappears and reappears at 110N45E.

Next up for NE: a yeth hound. (MM) The centipede is at 110N15E.

The centipede charges to the attack to 110N40E.

An oversized greyhound with dull black fur and cherry red eyes flies (yes, flies) into the arena to 100N15E20Z and starts a blood-curdling howl.

The scorpion hits with the AoO for 13. The centipede disappears.

The scorpion is not afraid. (Rolled 12 Will save)

Round 264: The scorpion moves to 100N15E.
