Howdy folks! Three weeks from tomorrow (July 27) is my little brother's birthday. He'll be turning 18 years old, and I'm starting to think about what to get him. I figured that EN World is a good place for suggestions (I didn't do this at Circvs Maximvs because he occasionally reads that forum when he's bored). So I'll tell you a little a little about him so that if you have any cool ideas related to his interests, you can post them.
First of all, my brother is a sports nut, particularly college football. His favorite college team is the BYU Cougars. For NFL teams, his favorite team is the Green Bay Packers. For NBA teams, he likes the Utah Jazz. He's also a big fan of sports books such as Friday Night Lights and anything by John Feinstien.
He's also a pretty a pretty big movie guy. As you might expect, he likes sports movies, but he also likes comedies and action movies.
He owns an XBox and an XBox 360, and will play pretty much any game that's entertaining. Some of the games he's been playing recently have been Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, NCAA Football 2006, and Knights of the Old Republic.
He's a real clotheshorse; he own a lot of different shoes (football shoes, basketball shoes, skater shoes, dress shoes, sandals, etc), and he loves getting new shirts, pants, wristbands, hats, and pretty much any other clothing items you can think of. I tease him that he's more into clothes and shoes than most women I know (no, that is not an exaggeration).
He's not exactly the outdoorsey type. He's not into camping, hunting, fishing, or hiking. Nor is he really into things like tools or auto repair.
So, any suggestions?
