hmm
well by accepting the car as a trade in they accepted the car as is, just like a dealership if you did not offer a warranty or sign any promise for full repairs you owe them nothing. They accepted the car, it sounds as if the salesman screwed up and is trying to save his butt. first of all i cant see a dealership taking a wrecked vehicle as collateral, they used to since they could write it off as a donation, well they can no longer do that, sooo it sounds as if theyre trying to get money out of you. Watch your credit since they will try to nail you, get a lawyer, and if in fact you never implied that you were going to fix the vehicle (they knew you didnt have insurance once they bought the car since it all has to be run when they go for a title transfer)some states have a implied verbal aggreement law regarding contracts but I find it hard to believe that they would accept a damaged vehicle then ask for payment after the fact, they would of added it on to the price of the new car,
