Need NWN Help with Gameplay

I'm playing a cleric in Shadows of Undrentide and cannot figure out how to get spontaneous casting to work. Anyone know?

Also, when my henchman is reduced to 1 hp (and on the ground) I can't seem to use healing potions on them. What can I do to get them up and moving again?

I think its the shift key to use spontanous casting, you hit shift and the healing spell of the same level will replace the slected spell, you can also drag the spells into a quickslot like that. Not sure about the henchmen not drinking potions, but if there are no monsters, you should be able to rest and get his HP back.

No the shift key is not working (although that *is* what you do in Temple of Elemental Evil).

As for the Henchman, when I try to rest it says "you may not rest while your henchman is dying".

This is my first attempt at a cleric in NWN (I played a sorcerer and paladin in the main game) - I just wish it was going more smoothly. *sigh*
