Enoch starts to speak, "As I asked Aniel when we met before..." but then breaks down into a coughing fit. "Excuse me... My question is were each of us somehow meant to have these keys, or is it just blind luck that they found their way to each of us at this time?"

Gurter listens to everyone while slowly moving across the room without making a sound. He gently brushes the arm of Ariel when he walks by her and then begins to share his opinion on the matter "There will be plenty of time to discuss matters later. I for one am quite curious as what the Will of this Baron says. So let's hear what this good man has to say first, before we start asking questions. Agreed...?"

"Aye, let's hear the Will. Perhaps it will answer our questions." Anna waits for the mayor or the woman to start reading.

All the humans in the room started talking at once, so Ton decided to listen and watch instead. Something about that wailing in the night had him on edge. There was more going on here than one man's last will and testament. Setting aside the mayor's joke, death might very well be hiding in this manor.

Like all good tunnel fighters, Ton was used to gaming with death.

The mayor clears his throat, "well as for the payment of the lady Aniel, she only asks that she get to choose one item from the vault and I see no reason to deny her."

He casually looks from person to person across the room as if waiting for any comments.

Gurter raises his eyebrows when he hears the word 'vault' and a hint of excitement can be seen in his eyes. He thinks to himself "O my, a mysterious mansion, beautiful women, numerous people with their own stories and a vault to top it all of. I wouldn't like to miss this for the world... I wonder if Teneson knew any of this. Surely he wouldn't have given me his key if he was aware of what it would unlock. Then again maybe he did know and parted with his key for the very same reason..."

Gurter looks around the room to see if anyone is going to comment and rests his eyes on Aniel. "...and then there is Aniel of course..." he thinks while looking at her longing.

OOC: I'm not quite sure if this is the right expression but you'll get the idea... hopefully :)

Enoch shrugs as the mayor meets his eyes and thinks to himself, "How could we answer such a question with the limited information we have now?"

Ton's ears also perk up at the mention of a vault. It was a good sign when surface dwellers secured their valuables below ground. Too many of his recent "customers" kept them in flimsy wooden boxes, or in secret compartments in their closets. Whoever this baron was, he obviously had some smarts.

"Um, maybe I've missed something, but I don't recall a vault being mentioned before now. What's this vault got to do with the will?" Anna looks confused as she speaks.
