I so now have to hit YouTube for the video of the Vanilla Ice parody from In Living Color.
Anyway...
My WTF moment happened to me about two weeks ago as I sat in a parking place, enjoying a banana pudding milkshake and Tom Cochrane's "Mad, Mad World" CD. When a guy dressed up in jeans, a checkered shirt, boots and a cowboy hat (with no line dance place within 20 miles) wanders up to my Camry and says
"Hey, who is that? They picked a great song to cover, but I like the original better."
I looked at him like a toothbrush just fell out of his nose.
"Life is a Highway was recorded in 91 by this guy. Rascal Flatts covered it."
"Oooo, hell, naw. My nephew'd shoot you for sayin' that."
I showed him the CD case. He shook his head and walked way mumbling about "Them (censtored) Frenchies..." I could have stopped him to tell him Tom isn't from Quebec, but I didn't want his nephew to really come shoot me.
