New 300 trailer

in one game I play in, a PC rides a war rhino.

It has 'horseshoes' of speed, and has a +20 Jump check.
That rhino should be limping on bloody feet. Rhinoes have feet, not hooves last i checked.

That rhino, at an average of 76 hp, is also capable of jumping off a 200 feet high cliff and walking away most of the time.

Please check your reality at the door.

I probably won't like it personally - I thought Sin City was laughably bad (except the Mickey Rourke story, which was mostly okay), but the trailer looks pretty cool.

I also thought Sin City was horrible I almost turned it off 3 times and was disappointed that I spent $4.00 to rent it, nevermind forking over the cash to go out to the movies to see it.

I am sure I can wait 3 months rent 300 on DVD.

It's not Sin City. Sin City was film noir. This is in no way that. 300 is stylized, and Sin City was also stylized. But it's not the same style for the two movies.

Of course, you CAN wait for the DVD. I think it would lose a lot on a small screen, but it will still be good. However, I suggest that if the word on the street with people you trust is that it's a really good movie once it comes out, you might want to reconsider your decision.

If the quality of the trailer is any indication of the quality of the movie, I'm not sure you are going to have to even wait three weeks before it is dumped to DVD.

Duh! Based on a comic book! :D

Okay, graphic novel, but the distinction isn't so much.

yeah, I completely missed the comic book angle the very first time I heard about this ... I was all pysch'd for a historical battle movie.

hopefully it will still be very cool to watch (although Mrs. Wolf72 will think it's worse than WoW)

:)

It's all done in blue screen, like Sin City (also based on a Frank Miller graphic novel).

I don't think it's quite as extensive in its use of blue screen, but yes, they are both movies based on Frank miller comics that use blue screen rather than large and lavish sets.

It will be a lovely spectacle. Three will a number of other spectacles during the movie year, including Transformers, Pathfinder, Grindhouse, Beowulf and 300.

Pity the Greeks won. Men do not deserve democracy. Men deserve tyrants.

I'll take that bet. Heck, I will give you triple to one odds. I think you are quite wrong in that prediction.

Legally or pirated? I think the flick is going to do good box office business. It may not blow off the doors, but I believe it will do well and make its money.
