I've never done a messageboard RPG. In all the boards I've been too, no board has any DECENT RPGs running.

Great - I typed up all that while you were busy saying never mind.

But, if you want other resources for finding online games, check out:
http://www.pbem.com/ (which is a link from www.irony.com)
it has frequent posts/requests from DMs looking for players. Of course, some don't get a chance to last long.. once in a while you can find a good one that holds strong... (some are Email, some are message board, etc..)

Like Nightfall said, there are games being run on IRC. Just get yourself a chat client, like mIRC and come to channel #dnd3e on chat.psionics.net... There are quite a few games running on the server. And it's a good place to chat, too.
