New article - Elves, Eladrin and Drow. Oh, my!

Just as long as we don't stretch this comparison beyond the direct opposition/corruption sort of way.

I don't want Corellon to be all warm and fuzzy and HappyGoodGod.

Corellon is the God of Magic. So, it's possible that Gruumsh may be what, the God of War? God of Poking Things with Pointy Things?

the god of barbarians and the uncontrollable and deadly powers of nature?

So apparently Drow will not be in the PHB as playable race but in the FRCS.
So much for the "3 elves + half elves" complain.

And maybe druids are in? it is a "favored" class for elves after all.

I don't think in the PHB I...there's been enough hints now that we can say pretty surely that there's a primal power source, the barbarian and druid are classes for it, and it'll be in the PHB II.

What did you like about him? Was it, by any chance, the fact that he was an orc god who lost his eye in a battle with elven god Corellon Larethian, and had a blind genocidal hatred of all things elven? Or was it something else?

I think it was more that he reminded me in some ways of a "Klingon God". All in for the War and Blood.

I guess I will have to play a Dragonborn Fighter worshipping Gruumsh in 4E.

I personally am really looking forward to this. Also, with giving a not too clear image of why Lolth betrayed her sister-goddesses and why the Drow rebelled one can build up their own ideas.

It sorta reminds me of WoD, where they give ideas for the history of various things, but leaves it up to you to decide.

Also anyone noticed how the Drow now have ALL white-eyes. So will the idea of rarer eye-colours of the Drow (made famous by Drizzt) be a thing of the past?

I loved it! To me, the split of the elven races makes perfect sense. And the picture at the beginning of the article is pretty cool too.
