4th Edition is supposed to make Dungeon Mastering easier. Digital tools, restructured rules, more of what the players want, so you—the DM—look even better.
Ha! More proof that 4e is all about giving the players what they want! It is no wonder that the PCs are now allowed to buy and sell magic items and identify them after just five minutes! :p

Uncanny! She looks ALOT like my wife in that pic. Not a bad looking lady.

My point still stands though, female gamers have very little to wory about if attempting to enter this hobby if they find a well adjusted gaming group.

Look for guys who are married or in long term relationships. We've usually been house trained by then.

I like Shelly and her articles, one of the few things I read on the web that makes me chuckle. She's cute without being dizzty.. :D

I can't help but somehow imagine that she is your wife. Even if it isn't true... the conversation in my head is amazing. Especially because in my mind you're looking like your avatar. BTW, no offense meant (This is the internet), it's just really funny in my mind.

Heh. I found the "more of what players want" line in the article kind of jarring. As a player, I'll be happy if I break even on stuff that I want.

As far as buying and selling magic items, if your +4 Level magic item isn't the item you would prefer to be your best, you get to sell it for enough gold to buy a -1 Level magic item. Whoopee? So the 6th level cleric of God of Bashing who gets item railroaded by his DM with a 10th level Caduceus of Heal the Fighter a Lot can trade it in for a 5th level Tack Hammer of Hit Like a Sissy. woot?

Oooh! Oooh! Let me guess:

"An item found by the PCs that does not perfectly match exactly what the player wanted and may not be supremely optimal for said player's character and is thus considered to be utter garbage."

Am I even remotely close?
