I'll soon be playing in a drow campaign.
I have my heart set on playing a wizard, however there will only be 2 of us and the other will probably be a rogue, so I was thinking that perhaps i should pick up some fighter levels as well. However, i don't want to give up to much of the wizard aspect of my character. so i'm not sure when i should take fighter levels or even how many levels i should take... i'm not even going to start looking at prestige classes yet..
on another note can drow be arcane archers? the requirement is race: elf, do drow count? and why do drow generally seem to use crossbows more than bows? is it just an attempt to seperate themselves from thier surface world cousins? or is there a practical reason behind it?
