What little i know
Honestly I trained my druid specifically for devastating crit and and mighty cleave with the scimitar. 12-20 crit range x2, add in speedy that's 3 attacks at L11 that potentially could take down a colossal creature. (no need to get eaten and carve your way out).
Off hand is similar, it though is merciful. (really merciful 1d6 speed nonlealthal dmg)
imp crit scimitar
weapon focus scimitar
vital strike
str 27/33 (very expensive book and gear)
+5 Speedy Merciful Scimitar of Keen: 25/25/20 1d6+15 (+20 both hands) non-leathal + 1d6 crit at 12-20 x2
As a sun druid for Seranrae this fits well with my play style. The "other blade" is different though. This is where the real issue is per this post... as the first blade spares life, with those numbers in mind...
+3 Vorpal Adamantine Scimitar of Keen Evil Bane: 23/18 1d6+14 (+2 +2s6 evil) and sever head on a natural 20 or...
+1 Speedy Devastating Adamantine Scimitar of Evil Bane and Keen: 25/25/20 1d6+14 (bypass dr/5) (+2 +2d6 vs Evil) 12-20 crit x2 (on crit fortitude save vs d25 + dmg dealt or death save for half damage) undead that are immune to crit only take dmg from actual no save required.
Now... currently I'm fighting a lot of huge/evil creatures so I'd take the second one. By the way anyone know a good way to take down an Ancient Colossal black dragon?... and his pet turasqu? Accidentally set them loose... (ahem..)
but you see how the feats stack up there.. adding devastating crit like in Hordes of the Underdark.. I gave it a +4 cost as a feat if enchanted on a weapon (120k gp) as a feat I'd add to the prerequisite.
21st level (epic) cleave greater cleave imp crit/weapon, overwhelming crit and weapon focus str 25
fair trade for insta-kill
