Here are two new feats for double weapons.
One-Handed Twister [Style]
You’ve developed a fighting style that allows you wield a double weapon in one hand, using momentum and tricky grasping techniques.
Prerequisites: Dex 21, Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Greater Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (any double weapon), Monkey Grip
Benefit: You can wield a double weapon with only one hand, leaving the other free to hold an item or to carry a shield. You can attack normally with your double weapon and can extra “off-hand” attacks as usual, but you take a -5 penalty to hit until the beginning of your next turn. Furthermore, you apply only half of your Strength bonus to damage made with the weapon’s primary end and you apply no Strength bonus with the weapon’s secondary end. Even though you may hold items in your off hand, you cannot make off-hand attacks with a weapon or a shield bash or wield another double weapon.
Normal: You must wield a double weapon with two hands.
Special: A Fighter can choose One-Handed Twister as one of its bonus feats.
One-Handed Tornado [Epic, Style]
You’ve developed a fighting style that allows you wield a double weapon in one hand, using momentum and tricky grasping techniques.
Prerequisites: Dex 25, Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Greater Two-Weapon Fighting, Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (any double weapon), Epic Weapon Focus (any double weapon), Monkey Grip, Wield Oversized Weapon
Benefit: You can wield a double weapon in one hand and wield another single or double weapon in you off-hand. You can even make additional off-hand attacks with your off-hand weapon in addition of primary and secondary attacks with your double weapon. If you wield a second double weapon, you may make additional off-hand attacks with both ends. You do not apply your Strength bonus on your off-hand attacks.
For instance, a 27th-level fighter armed with a two-bladed sword in his primary end and a short sword in his off-hand, with this feat and Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting, can make 4 attacks with his two-bladed sword’s primary end, 4 attacks with his weapon’s secondary hand and 4 attack with his short sword for a total of 12 attacks. Should he wields two two-bladed swords, he may make 16 attacks, 4 with each end.
Normal: You must wield a double weapon with two hands.
Special: A Fighter can choose One-Handed Tornado as one of its bonus feats.
