New General Feat: Additional Favoured Class

Just to connect some ideas here, how about a feat that allows a character to reduce all penalties for multi-classing to 50% (or 10% per class)? This could be a feat that must be taken at 1st level (or not), but it might aid those characters that have three or more classes.

Overpowered? no

This depends on the multiclassing preferences of each group and if PrClasses are available. If you got PrClasses, noone takes a XP-penalty for multiclassing (since you get all the advantages for multiclassing from a PrCl and more).

Since I play a bbn/brd/sor/rog/rgr and will perhaps multiclass to fighter sometimes... I can tell you that a feat is quite expensive :)

I've thought about introducing a similar feat IMC, called Natural Talent (class). Hence, core rule elves would start with the feat Natural Talent (Wizard).

Such an approach has the advantage of making races slightly more customizable. A nation of elves with a more martial culture could choose between Natural Talent (Wizard) and Natural Talent (Ranger), for example.

The equivalent feat for core rule humans and half-elves was something I planned to call Dilettante - the ability to pick up a superficial knowledge on a variety of subjects.

No, I don't think it's unbalanced.
