iirc, with at least the three kids playing the main characters (Harry, Ron & Hermione), they were only contracted for the first 3 movies. After that, assuming they make the rest (which seems likely), they are probably going to switch to a different cast.

In an interview on the official Harry Potter web page, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) said he was scheduling to do film #4. "After that, who knows?" was how his answer ended, but we'll at least get him for Goblet of Fire.

I'd be very surprised to see any major casting changes for the life of the series.
