New Line offically sucks

New Line orginally said they would announce the Return of the King EE DVD date on Friday, aug. 27., but now they said it won't be announced until the 30. :\ Whats the big deal? New Line, just tell us the date already? Why are you being so secretive with info this time? This time two years ago, we knew the date of FotR EE, a year ago, the date of TTT EE. Why are you dragging your ass this time, New Line?

They suck? Man, it's clear that you've never been involved in a complicated project. And that you condemn companies to suckitude for incredibly minor things.

It's an incredibly complicated project man, give them a little slack.

I'd prefer they take a little time, and give us the correct date than tell us their best guess now, and have to change it later. It is better business to get it right the first time.

You're the only one making it a big deal. Who cares whether or not they announce it tomorrow or Monday? Its an *announcement*, not an actual movie. The DVD will come out when it'll come out, whether they tell you tomorrow or not.

Its done, finished. All they have to do is mass produce it. There are already reviews online of it. There is no reason for New Line not to tell us the date at this point.

Maybe there is a delay at the printer, and they don't know what the date for delivery of the packaging is going to be. Perhaps they don't have a date from the shipping company that is bringing the cargo containers with the finished product yet. Maybe Peter Jackson wants to make it that much better, so they are giving him a little bit more time.

Who cares? It's only a matter of a couple days, and it's not waiting a few days to find out when it will be available is going to make a difference in the end, will it? I'm sure they have their reasons, and just because the fans are getting anxious doesn't mean they have to run right out and tell you. We know it's coming, now just be patient. It will be here.

Wow, you must have some impressive internal sources at New Line, what with your apparently complete knowledge of their manufacturing schedule (including the availability of manufacturing plants, artists and graphic designers), their shipping schedule (including warehousing and distributors), their seasonal announcement plans, their PR schedule (including how they work out releases for maximum sales), the status of every other project in-house that could affect the announcement, the health and family status of every involved employee, and copies of their project plans. It's good to hear that you know about all of that stuff, such that you can state with certainty that there's no reason for them to not tell us the date.

You don't play computer games do you??

Still waiting for Halo 2. That had an original release date like Christmas, 2 years ago
