Tales and Chronicles
Jewel of the North, formerly know as vincegetorix
This is a fun new idea I had while reading yet another unbalanced 5e conversion of PF summoner and yet another sorcerer without any theme other than ''you summon stuff'' (which is an origin, I guess?) on Reddit.
In E:RftLW, we have a template to create living spells, so I thought: why not give the sorcerer the metamagic to animate any of its spell, so that any sorcerer from any origin could be a pet class should he want to?
Metamagic:
Animate Spell. By spending an action focusing on one of your spell of 1st, 3rd or 5th level that deal damage, you can spend a number of sorcery point equal to 2 (or 3?) times the spell level and spend the spell slot to infuse life into your manifested magic. You summon a Living Spell with the appropriate statistic as per the Living Spell Customization table (E:RftLW p299) for 1 hour. In combat the living spell use your own spell DC and shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. The only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take one of the actions in its stat block or to take the Dash, Disengage, Help, or Hide action.
any thoughts?
