Well,
it looks like the betrayal theory didn't really pan out, regardless of what the real source of Neo-Xykon's feebleness is. I wasn't exactly sure, but it really seems to be a decoy that gets the 'bullseye,' as Redcloak put it earlier
.

We've seen a previous Redcloak during the crayon saga, but that one doesn't look female to me.
