I rather like my .sig. I've done my "market research," and it is by far not the longest .sig going.

Also, it only takes up extra real estate on long posts - the one above this one, for instance, didn't actually take up any additional space due to the .sig.

Look closely - I think even on that post it takes up at least two extra lines. Many (most?) of your posts are longer - frankly, it makes me want to skip over you posts just because I don't really want to look at that inane nonsense.

I do appreciate it, though, when you turn it off for a post. A lot.

Er, no. I think the .sig virus joke was funny. I think it still is funny.

My .sig is not significantly larger than average.

Ergo, I don't see any reason to change it.

As for turning it off, the board software automatically shows .sigs on the first post on any given page of a thread and supresses it for the rest. Thank Morrus, not me. :)

It sounds like the rest of the folks in this thread have the topic well in hand, but could someone interpret the OP's screen name for me? I'm seeing "Daywanker", which is a title I can't imagine anyone would self-apply.

Because you know, all that extra effort that goes into spinning that mousewheel / clicking on the scroll bar could give you "Tennis Finger". :p

It's l33t speak for Daywalker - like Blade; A half-vampire who can stand sunlight.

It would be funny if he/she got the nickname Daywanker because of this question though :)

*Cough* Right. 7 is an L, not an N. :o

Not to anyone in particular . . .

There's nothing in the rules against the size of Patryn's .sig and quite frankly I'm appalled at the reaction he's getting. Whether anyone in particular finds it amusing or not is totally irrelevant unless you are taking offense at the contents of the .sig. You don't see Patryn getting on your case about your .sig or lack thereof. If you got a problem with the man's .sig, bring it to a mod's attention, not ours or even his. I can't believe he's even being accosted for his .sig.

I vote that all the posts in this thread (including mine) not relating to the topic get deleted.

Right.

Say, Patryn, do you suppose you could shorten up your sig?

This:

[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]
[sigvirus]uhoh[/sigvirus]

Takes up a lot of screen real estate.

did you see my old one?

P.S. stay on subject. go with a mage-type
